NBPC Local 2509 Executive Board Nominations

As announced at the most recent business meeting on Friday, September 15, 2017, Local 2509 is currently accepting nominations for ALL positions on the Executive Board.  Positions are as follows:


Executive Vice President

First Vice President

Second Vice President




Local 2509 members are allowed to self-nominate for any position, or nominate another member for any position.  Members may only run for one position.  Positions terms are for two (2) years, to end October 2019.  Local 2509 elections are conducted in accordance with the AFGE National Constitution.  In accordance with Appendix A of the constitution, the qualifications for candidacy for local office are as follows:

1.  Be a current member in good standing
2.  Be a current member for one year of an AFGE local, immediately preceding the closing of the nomination process, and
3.  Not be a member in any labor organization not affiliated with the AFL-CIO

If any position is uncontested (only one candidate nominated), the nominee shall be declared elected at the closing of nominations.

Nominations will be accepted anytime until Friday, October 27, 2017.  Nominations can be submitted by emailing your submission to nominations@local2509.org.  If emailing submissions, please include your full name, and the full name of the candidate (if not self-nominating), this is necessary for meeting minute, and record keeping purposes.

For any contested position, an election date will be announced.
